Thinking about light. Watching the light. Trying to understand the light of the moment. How shall I set up my camera to best capture what I see in this light? From what vantage point? The approaches are many - situation and mood dependent. Do I first consider which lens? Where’s that delicate balance of aperture and shutter speed I’m seeking? Why this particular composition and not one of the other infinite choices?

For me it’s mostly meditatively responding to the moment. Or waiting. I do a lot of waiting.
